Monday: Join SGA and SAC for a picnic out in the Quad from 11:00-1:00pm.

Tuesday: Are you a School of Arts major or have an interest in the programs? Bring yourself on down to the School of Arts Club Fair in the Quad from 11:00-1:00pm.

Wednesday: Did you choose CBU for their execellent engineering programs? Or perhaps you have a passion for physics? Find out even more information by coming the the Science and School of Engineering Club Fair from 11:00-1:00pm in the Quad.

Tired of looking at all the syllabi from this week? Come hang by the pool for our Annual Pool Party from 6:00-9:00! Not in the mood for swimming? No doubt there will be some competitive sand volleyball going on nearby.

Thursday: Take care of “Business” and attend the Business Club Fair from 11:00-1:00 in the Quad.

Have even the slightest interest in going Greek? Find the answers to all of your comments/questions/concerns when being active in the Greek Letter Organizations Info Session from 7:00-9:00

Friday: Not interested in Greek Life and already met with your school in which you are majoring? Come check out the other student organizations on campus in our last club fair of the week. Don’t see anything that sparks your interest? Start your own organization! CBU loves and is open to new ideas. So be creative, inventive, and driven. Gather those signatures and maybe you will be running your own booth in next year’s club fair!

Are you on overdrive with new information and course loads? Come take a “load off” at the Patio Party in front of Rozier and the sand volleyball court from 8:00-11:00pm. Unwind from a hectic week with enjoy the company of new friends!

Saturday: Still slighty tentative but look out for an email later in the week for the specifics on the events for this day.

Let’s Get This Party Started Right. Go to Class. Have Fun. & I hope everyone enjoys their first week back!

Although the summer shindigs are coming to an end, I hope ya’ll are getting as excited as I am about the upcoming year!  Student Life has been working diligently to provide the numerous activities that are in store for the jump start of the 2012-2013 academic year! (…Yes, academic. I know, I know. It’s easy to put aside the academia with all of these thrilling activities but do your parents, and yourself, a favor and keep classes as top priority. Please and thank you.)

For those who are still in denial of going back to school and wanting to still chill by the pool all day, YOU STILL CAN… just not ALL day.

But really, let me fill you in on the basics of what you need to start getting pumped up about NOW… YES, RIGHT THIS MINUTE.

Welcome Back Weekend is the 17th, 18th, and  19th of August.

Some of you associate Welcome Weekend as Move-In Day… and you’re correct. BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT.

Take a look at our ‘Events Schedule’ on the website to get an idea of the variety of topics we plan to cover: academics, athletics, social life, etc. We strongly encourage you and your family to take full advantage of Welcome Weekend and participate in all the scheduled activities!

Okay, so you reviewed the activities… but when can your eager-self come back on to campus?!

Move-In Schedule
Freshmen: August 17th (Friday): 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Returning Students: August 18th (Saturday): 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Returning Students: Feel free to take a break from hauling your luggage and mingle with our new Buccaneers!

SIDENOTE:  I encourage each and every one of you to attend Mass on Sunday at 10am. What an insightful way to start off this year at CBU, than with our own Brothers?!

“College is the best time of your life. When else are your parents going to spend several thousand dollars a year just for you to go to a strange town, hang out with friends, and have fun?”
